Palenque and Raizal Memories

This work is a testimony of our country’s diversity in the form of Literature. Libro al Viento has published “Palenque and Raizal memories” independently, even though the texts contained here originally belong to a previous publication called “Routes of Freedom, a 500-year journey”, published by the Ministry of Culture in 2010. This work was completed by a couple of Caribbean writers, a Palenque man, and a Raizal woman. They introduce us to their worlds through their characters’ eyes. Readers get to know those realities that are vivid memories for the San Basilio de Palenque and the San Andres archipelago communities. This edition was published within the framework of the International Year for People of Africa Descent (2011). This year was so-proclaimed by UNESCO.

Tamalameque Fables

In this title of Libros al Viento (issue No. 140), Fables of Tamalameque (1990) by Manuel Zapata Olivella (1920-2004), the author devoted some time to cultivate this ancient and demanding literary genre for the very first and exclusive time.
